Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
Paidova LLC ("Paidova", "we", "us", "our") runs an all-in-one platform for tradespeople and independent contractors: invoicing and payments, a social network (the OvaFlow feed, Reels, Stories, direct messages, and comments), a job marketplace, public business profiles, proposals, expense tracking, and identity/business verification. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, what is shown publicly, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to paidova.com and the Paidova apps and services.
If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use Paidova. Using the service means you understand how we handle information as described here.
1. Information You Give Us
Account & profile. Your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash — we never see it), business name, owner name, username, bio, phone number, mailing address, logo, profile photo, brand color, work availability, and any social or website links you add.
Content you create. Posts, Reels, Stories, comments, reactions, direct messages, photos and videos you upload, music/sound selections, reviews, and anything else you share on the platform.
Business records. Clients you save (their names, emails, phone numbers, and addresses), invoices, proposals, products/services, contracts, and expenses — including receipt images you upload or scan.
Verification & license documents. If you choose to get verified, the documents you upload — articles of incorporation/organization, certificates of good standing, and trade-license scans. These are stored in a private bucket accessible only to Paidova's backend, and are used solely to confirm your business and award badges (see Section 6).
Payment details. When you subscribe or get paid, payment and payout information is handled by our payment processors (see Section 5). We do not store full card numbers.
2. Information We Collect Automatically
When you use Paidova we collect limited technical and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP, pages and features used, and events such as posts, likes, views, and invoice/proposal opens (including read receipts and "last seen" presence, which you can turn off). We also record whether your invoices and proposals have been viewed by your clients, so you can follow up.
3. What Is Public on Paidova
Paidova is partly a social network, so some information is public by design. Your public profile — username, display/business name, bio, photo, logo, brand color, posts, Reels, Stories, reviews, your Verified LLC/Inc. badge and the verified legal entity name, listed licenses, job-marketplace activity, and (if connected) your Google rating — can be seen by other users and visitors. Contact details (location, phone, email), your online status, and revenue stats are hidden by default and only shown if you turn them on in Settings. Don't post anything you wouldn't want to be public.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- run the platform, your account, and the social, marketplace, and invoicing features;
- create and deliver invoices and proposals to your clients and process payments & payouts;
- verify businesses and licenses and award trust badges;
- deliver direct messages, notifications, and transactional emails (and web push, if you opt in);
- detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, spam, and policy violations;
- provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- measure usage and improve and develop features.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Payments (Stripe & PayPal)
Card and bank payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and, where offered, PayPal. When a client pays an invoice, their payment details go directly to the processor and are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy and PayPal's Privacy Statement. Paidova never stores full card numbers; we receive limited data such as the last four digits, card brand, amount, and payment/payout status to show in your dashboard. Financing or "pay-over-time" options, where available, are provided by these processors under their terms.
6. Automated & AI Processing
To verify businesses and speed up data entry, Paidova uses AI services (currently Anthropic). When you submit a verification document, its contents are analyzed by an AI model and cross-checked against public business records (via web search) to confirm the entity and the people associated with it. Receipt-scanning, where used, sends the receipt image to an AI model to extract line items. These providers process the data on our behalf to return a result and do not use it to train their models for others. A human can review borderline cases.
7. Messaging & Social Interactions
Direct messages and group chats are visible to the participants in that conversation. We process message content and metadata to deliver, sync, and secure messages and to enforce our policies (for example, blocking spam or abuse). Read receipts can be turned off in Settings. Public posts, comments, and reactions are visible to others as described in Section 3.
8. Cookies & Local Storage
We use first-party cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences (like "remember me," theme, and language), support security features such as two-step verification, and measure aggregate product usage. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but parts of the app may stop working.
9. Service Providers We Share Data With
We share data only with vendors that help us run Paidova, under agreements that limit them to our instructions:
- Stripe and PayPal — payments and payouts;
- Supabase — database, file storage, and authentication;
- Cloudflare — application hosting, CDN, and edge security;
- Anthropic — AI document verification and receipt scanning;
- Resend — transactional and notification emails;
- Google — optional "Sign in with Google" authentication;
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot/abuse protection on sign-up and sign-in.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Paidova, our users, or the public.
10. Your Privacy Controls
In Settings you control what's public — location, phone, email, online status, and revenue stats are off by default — plus who can message or @mention you, your brand and profile details, and language/theme. You can enable two-step verification, edit or delete clients and content, and turn notifications on or off.
11. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — which Paidova does not do. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email info@paidova.com; we may need to verify your identity first.
12. Data Retention
We keep account, invoice, and business records for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service and to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Verification documents are retained while your badge is active and for a reasonable period afterward for audit purposes. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data unless we're required to keep it; some information may persist in backups for a limited time.
13. Security
We protect data in transit with TLS and at rest with industry-standard encryption, isolate each account's data with row-level security, store sensitive documents in private storage, and offer two-step verification. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — use a strong, unique password and enable two-step verification.
14. International Data Transfers
Paidova is operated from the United States and our providers may process data in the U.S. and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
15. Children
Paidova is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are material, we'll announce them in-app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above.
